MARK J. HUMMEL
Funeral Director / Owner
Mark J. Hummel is a Schuylkill County native of Frackville. Growing up in the small town he worked as a teenager for a few Funeral Homes in his hometown area. He had worked for various large scale Funeral Homes in his career until he settled in the Reading area and opened his first location. Buying the former Cramp Funeral Home of Reading was a great honor. To be able to continue the tradition of this Historical Funeral Home is an honor as well as serve the families.
Door Attendant / Former Owner
Georgine has owned the Funeral Home since the Early 1980's and worked with her husband a former Funeral Director for the Cramp family dating back into the 1940's Georgine is happy to stay upon our staff and see the business grow and flurish back to what she always remembered. Her part in the daily operation is key and many families know her because of her long time career in Funeral Service.
SCOTT K. BARTHOLOMEW
Scott has been part of the Funeral Home for over 20 years as the Supervisor and resides in Kutztown, Pennsylvania with his family. He enjoys helping families through his love for the Funeral industry.
Part Time Driver / Lot Attendant
Brett has worked for the funeral home for many years helping in any capacity he can. He operates his own business B & F Property Managment. Brett is a hard worker and a valuable asset to our team.
Lewis G. Fains
Lewis is a native of Reading where he graduated from Oley Valley High School and attended Kutztown University. He is a musician and has served the community for many years in various musical positions. Lewis is also a US Army Military Veteran. He has been associated with funeral services as a former pre plan assistant as well as cemetery sales. He served over 20 years in the management of Penske Truck Leasing where he perfected his customer service skills. He looks forward to helping families and provide knowledge and quality services to families in our community.
Seth D. Noecker
Seth D. Noecker is from Heidelberg Twp., and is currently enrolled into Conrad Weiser High School. He will be doing an internship starting January of 2020 here at the Cramp Hummel Funeral Home. After high school, he is planning on enrolling into Mortuary School. He will be the 2nd Funeral Director in his family following his older brothers footsteps. We are glad to have Seth here and share with him how we help families.
LILY Our Staff Therapy Dog.........Lily has come on with our staff in April of 2019. She is a Golden Doodle and a year and a half old. She had been trained for almost a year in North Carolina. She arrives well trained, mannered and eager to meet people who ask to see or meet her.
