Rita E. (Schatz) Yundt

 
Rita E. Yundt, 90 of Reading, passed away on Jan 27th in her residence.  She was the wife of the late William F. who passed in Nov. of 2020.  Born in Mohnton, PA., she was the daughter of the late John G. and Elizabeth (Eckenroth) Schatz.  Rita was employed for many years as a Telephone Operator for various companies and mergers over her career, last working for American Bank. Rita's passion next to God and family was singing anywhere and anytime she could.  She was most recently a part of the Berks Encore Chorus until it was silenced by Covid. She also enjoyed helping her husband deliver Meals on Wheels for many years.   She was involved with the local Girl Scouts for over 25 years.  She was an active member of Bern Evangelical Lutheran Church of Leesport.  She was pre deceased by a brother, John Schatz; one sister, Margaret Walters.  Surviving is one son, Keith W. Yundt, Harrisburg, PA; one daughter, Pamela J. Snyder, Bernville, PA; one granddaughter, Heather; Sisters, Carolyn E. Leister, Gilbertsville, PA, Anna May Miller, Fort Washington, PA. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the Cramp Hummel Funeral Home, 934 Centre Ave., Reading.
