John "Jack" Staub Obituary

John F. "Jack" Staub, 85 of Exeter Twp., passed away on May 29th in his residence.  He was the husband of Marie R. (Mynehan) Staub, celebrating 62 years of marriage on May 28th.  Born in Philadelphia, PA., he was the son of the late Nicholas Staub and Anna (Heirt) Staub and his step-mother the late Elizabeth Staub.  Jack was a graduate of Northeast High School, Philadelphia and LaSalle College where he received his Bachelors Degree. Jack was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.   He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and donating time with meals on wheels in Pennside.  He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.  Jack was retired from Unisys Corp., where he was a technical writer and served as their newsletter editor.  Jack was predeceased by sisters, Rosalie Staub and Catherine Edginton; brother James Griffies.  Surviving in addition to his wife is his son, John Staub (Denise), Limerick, PA.; Sister, Elizabeth Bell, NC; Two Grandchildren, John M. Staub (Maggie), Brittany Kitchens (Brandon); Four Great Grandchildren, Kailey Staub, Matthew Staub, Charlotte Staub and Brayden Kitchens.  A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, June 16th at 11:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4975 Boyertown Pike, Reading, PA. 19606.  Relatives and friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the Church.  Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to St. Catherine of Siena Church or at www.stjude.org  Online photos and memories can be shared at www.markjhummelfuneralhome.com  MARK J HUMMEL Funeral Home, Lower Alsace Twp., Reading has charge of his arrangements .
