James M. Bingaman, Sr.

James M. “Big Foot” Bingaman, Sr., 80 of Exeter Township, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at Berkshire Commons Assisted Living. He was the husband of Carol A. (Cartwright) for nearly 60 years.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Earl and Audrey (Nale) Bingaman. James worked for many years in the plumbing industry and ultimately retired as a security guard at the Reading Eagle Company.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tinkering with antique vehicles. He was immensely proud of his three grandchildren: Christopher (Chloe); Alyssa and Jonathan as well as his great-grandson, Crew.

Surviving in addition to his wife and grandkids are two sons: James M., Jr. husband of Kim, Exeter Twp. and Troy S. husband of Lisa, Amity Twp., a brother, Robert husband of Jean, and a sister Joan wife of Donald Simon.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to his caregivers at Berkshire Commons and Grane Hospice for their exemplary and compassionate care.
