George P. Fraser, 76 of Exeter Twp., PA., passed away on February 3, 2025 at his residence. He was the husband of Janis A. (Cooper) Fraser. Born in New Kensington, PA., he was the son of the late Frank and Helen (Phillips) Fraser. He had worked for the state department of health, bureau of laboratories acquiring the title, head of bioterrorism. He was also a longtime member of and advocate for SGI-USA and recipient of the distinguished pioneer of Kosen-Rufu award in 2014. An avid music lover, George attended many noteworthy live events throughout the years. He will be missed immensely by all who knew and loved him. George was predeceased by a sister, Carolyn Rome. Surviving in addition to his wife Janis are three sons, George P. Fraser, II, Reading, PA.., Franklyn L. Fraser, Mount Penn, PA., Matthew C. Fraser, Exeter Twp., PA; brother, Stuart Fraser, OH; sister, Laurette Myers, FL; 4 Grandchildren, Marlee Fraser, Gabriella Sullivan, Adelyn Fraser and Aria Fraser. Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Cramp Hummel Funeral Home, 934 Centre Ave., Reading. Relatives and friends will be received from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be private .
