Eugene W. Mertz, 84 of Reading, passed away on Jan. 13th in Berks Heim, where he was a resident. Born in Mertztown, PA., he was the son of the late Paul W. and Helen L. (Geist) Mertz. Eugene had worked for the former Bieber Bus Co. of Kutztown for many years as a Bus Driver. He is predeceased by one brother, Paul Mertz; one sister, Frona S.E. Dry. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be announced at a later date. Interment will be in Bowers Cemetery.
