Betty J. (Miller) Hafer

Betty J. Hafer, 92 of Reading, passed away on March 17th in Berks Heim where she was a resident.  She was the widow of Richard J. Hafer who passed in 1969.  Born in Reading, PA., she was the daughter of the late James  G. Miller and Catherine M. (Shingle) Miller.  Betty was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Reading.  She was retired after 44 years working as a labeler at Glidden Co. of Reading.  Betty was predeceased by a sister, Lillian M. Friend.  Surviving is one son, Howard D. Hafer, Sinking Spring; two grandchildren, William Hafer, , Nicole Hendricks.  Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM in the Cramp Hummel Funeral Home, 934 Centre Ave., Reading.  Rev.
