Alice M. Reinert, 96 of Blandon, passed away on April 2nd in her residence. She was the wife of the late Harlan G. Reinert. Born in Greenwich Twp., PA., she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Ellavada (Dietrich) Wolfinger. She was predeceased by a son, Harlan G. Reinert, Jr. Alice was the owner and operator of Alice Reinert’s Funeral Cakes and had worked various fairs over her 26 years being known as the Queen of the Funnel Cakes. She had also written a book titled From the Farm to the Queen of Funnel Cakes. Surviving are her daughters, Shirley A. wife of Patrick Rauenzahn, Topton, PA Mary A. wife of Norman Berger, Blandon, PA; Grandchildren, Kimberly Oswald, Kendra High and Wesley Reinert; Great Grandchildren, Julia Oswald, Sydney Oswald, Kaden Master and Caileigh Master and Eli Reinert. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 10th at 11:00 AM in the Cramp Hummel Funeral Home, 934 Centre Ave., Reading. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown. A special thank you to the wonderful hospice staff for their care and support.
