Alberto "Speedy" Gonzalez

Alberto "Speedy" Gonzalez, 67 of Reading, PA., passed away on March 8, 2026 at his residence.  He was the husband of the late  Elba Bilbraut Acevedo.  Born in NY, he was the son of the late Alberto Gonzalez and the late Carmen Alfaro.   He enjoyed  fishing and  was a music lover and loved sports cars particularly corvettes. Alberto was a carpenter and worked installing carpet for many years.  He was predeceased by three sisters, Evelyn, Carmen and Rosa Gonzalez.  Surviving are two sons, Albert Gonzalez, Monroe, NY, Austin Garcia, Reading, PA; Brothers, Luis Gonzalez, Jose Gonzalez, Miguel Urena, Norberto Gonzalez, Angel Gonzalez; Sisters, Madeline Vega, Sonia Gonzalez, Carmen Shelton. 4 Grandchildren, Leah, Jesse, Grace and Nathaniel Gonzalez.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026 at 12:00 Noon at the Cramp Hummel Funeral Home, 934 Centre Ave., Reading.  A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon at the funeral home.
