Phyllis Helms Obituary

Phyllis M Helms, 74 of Geigertown, PA, passed away on March 28th at Complete Care at Berkshire Center.  She was the wife of G. Edwin Helms, Jr.  Born in Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Scott) Green.  Surviving in addition to her husband are her children Helen M Helms of Geigertown, PA, G. Edwin Helms, III of Birdsboro, PA, and Dawn, wife of Tim Lawrence, and their children Mason and Willow of Arnaudville, LA.  She is also survived by her sisters Cathy Teoli, Doris Bramlett, Dawn York, and Mary Lou Minich.  She was predeceased by her two brothers, Charles Galvin and Wayne Winkler.   Phyllis enjoyed doing many crafting projects, especially crocheting for her family.  She also enjoyed gardening with Helen, playing with her beloved grandchildren, and watching the hummingbirds visit her flowers in the yard.  Through the years, she cherished the companionship of her many dogs, most recently Tragg. She spent many years as a Sunday School teacher and Sunday School Superintendent, as well as board member, at Pine Swamp Church in Elverson.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pine Swamp Church, PO Box 213, Elverson PA 19520.
